Sweet peas require consistent moisture to thrive, but it's important not to overwater them as this can lead to root rot. It's best to water them deeply once a week, and more frequently during periods of drought or hot weather. Check the soil moisture regularly by inserting your finger into the soil to a depth of around 2 inches. If it feels dry at this depth, it's time to water. Water at the base of the plant rather than on the leaves to avoid the risk of disease.
