Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens

Koishikawa Korakuen Gardens, nestled in the heart of Bunkyo, Tokyo, Japan, stands as a testament to the rich tapestry of Japanese history and garden aesthetics. Dating back to the early 17th century during the Edo period, this historic garden was envisioned and brought to life by Yorifusa Mito, the daimyo of the Mito domain, culminating in its completion in 1629. Designed with profound influence from Chinese Confucian principles, Koishikawa Korakuen seamlessly weaves together both Chinese and Japanese garden aesthetics.
