Kamado Joe Classic II Smoker BBQ Review

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (from 1,375 reviews)

The Kamado Joe Classic II Smoker BBQ is an 18-inch ceramic grill that offers a versatile and efficient cooking experience. It is designed with a robust cast iron cart, complete with locking wheels, ensuring both stability and mobility, making it suitable for various outdoor cooking environments.

A notable feature of the Kamado Joe Classic II is its 2-Tier Divide & Conquer Flexible Cooking System. This system transforms the conventional grill grate into a multifaceted cooking tool, enabling the preparation of different foods in various styles and at different temperatures simultaneously. The multi-level, half-moon design provides enhanced control over the cooking process, ensuring flexibility and convenience.

The grill is also equipped with a Control Tower Top Vent, which provides precise airflow management for consistent cooking outcomes. Constructed from powder-coated cast aluminum, this dual-adjustment top vent is resistant to rain and supports temperature regulation from 225°F for smoking to 750°F for searing.

Additionally, the Kamado Joe Classic II includes a patented ash drawer, which simplifies the cleaning process. Unlike other Kamado-style grills that require the removal of internal components to clear out ashes, this model features a slide-out drawer. Users can easily remove the drawer, dispose of the ashes, and continue grilling without significant interruption.

Direct quotes from owners:

Can't fault this item, does amazing bbq's, came well packed. A bit more pricey than other bbq's but you pay for what get and would highly recommend.

These KJ are beasts. There is nothing I haven’t been able to cook. Low n slow. Curries. Chinese. Cooked breakfast !!!! The quality and KJ warranty is worth the price tag alone. It’s so versatile but beware buying accessories for it is both addictive and expensive but so worth it when you think this grill will last you a lifetime with a little tlc

I can't believe how different Camado [sic] Joe is from other barbecues, it grills great and keeps the temperature for a very long time, about 4 hours, the meat is juicy and perfectly cooked, I tried vegetables, they became unique with this slightly smoky taste! The Kamado coals also burn to the end leaving a small ash shovel. Highly recommend!
