What can I use to control scale insects on currant bushes?

Our Advice:

The shell helps protect the adult scale insects so spraying is most effective against newly-hatched juveniles in late June to July. Spray now and again in summer with either Resolva Bug Killer (Westland) or Provanto Ultimate Bug Killer (SBM).
