What can I use to kill scale insects on my blackcurrant bushes?

Our Advice:

After picking the fruit, spray the bushes with Resolva Bug Killer from Westland or Organic 2in1 from Vitax, making sure the stems and branches are well covered. Scale insects do not drop off the plant after they die, so repeat the treatment at regular intervals in order to kill off any surviving insects.
