Why have my Brussels sprouts all blown?

Our Advice:

Brussels sprouts must be planted very firmly in order to get firm, tight buttons for eating. Some varieties produce tighter buttons than others; the variety Bedford Fillbasket will produce hard sprouts over a long harvesting period.
