When can I start spraying greenfly on a leyland conifer hedge?

Our Advice:

Cypress aphids cause brown patches of dead foliage by sucking the sap. Watch for yellow mottling on shoot tips to indicate that insects are actively feeding. This would usually start in late-March or early-April so spray then.
