Is it too early to plant out dahlias?

Our Advice:

If they are dormant tubers you can plant them now, as it will take them a while to shoot. If they are growing plants it will be safer to wait until the end of May before planting. Planting out too early increase the risk of the young shoots being blackened by late frosts.
