Can dahlias be grown in partial shade?

Our Advice:

While dahlias prefer full sun, they can be grown in partial shade, although they may produce fewer blooms and have weaker growth. Choose a location that receives at least 4-6 hours of direct sunlight per day, and be sure to water and fertilise regularly.
