What pests and diseases can affect sweet pea plants?

Our Advice:

Sweet peas can be susceptible to aphids, slugs and snails, and powdery mildew. Aphids can be controlled with insecticidal soap or a strong stream of water. Slugs and snails can be controlled with traps or by handpicking. Powdery mildew can be prevented by providing good air circulation and avoiding overhead watering.
