My garden has been flooded, how long can the plants survive in the wet?

Our Advice:

The tops can survive for quite a while and even start to grow, but the real damage is done in the root zone. If plants have more than 3 weeks with saturated roots, they will suffer injury. The biggest problem will be lack of oxygen which causes the cells in the roots to die.
