Do chrysanthemums need feeding?

Our Advice:

Yes, chrysanthemums benefit from regular fertilization to promote healthy growth and abundant blooms. A balanced fertiliser, such as a 10-10-10 or 20-20-20 formula, can be applied every 2 to 3 weeks during the growing season. It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for application rates and timing. Overfertilization can cause the plants to produce too much foliage at the expense of flowers.
