Why does water drip from the leaf edges of my Swiss cheese plant?

Our Advice:

This is a natural process called guttation and is the plant's way of shedding excess moisture. It is usually an indication that you are probably watering the plant too much. If this continues, cells along the leaf margin may split open and die, leaving a brown edge and leaving wounds that are open to fungal infection.
