Stiga Battery-Powered Lawnmower COLLECTOR 140 AE Review

Rating: 4 out of 5 (from 53 reviews)

The Stiga Battery-Powered Lawnmower COLLECTOR 140 AE is a reliable and efficient tool designed for gardens measuring up to 350m². This cordless lawnmower offers the convenience of battery power, eliminating the need for tangled cords or reliance on electrical outlets. With a cutting width of 38 cm, it efficiently trims the grass, providing a neat and well-maintained appearance to your lawn.

One of the standout features of the Stiga Battery-Powered Lawnmower COLLECTOR 140 AE is its lightweight and maneuverable design. This makes it easy to navigate around obstacles and corners, ensuring thorough coverage of your lawn without any strain or discomfort. Additionally, the lawnmower features a large 40 L hybrid collection bag, reducing the frequency of emptying and saving you valuable time and effort.

Starting the lawnmower is a breeze, thanks to the push guide mechanism. Simply push and guide the mower, and it will effortlessly start, enabling a hassle-free operation. The ergonomic design of the lawnmower includes a soft handle that can be adjusted in two positions, catering to users of different heights and preferences. Moreover, the cutting height can be easily adjusted in six positions, ranging from 25 mm to 75 mm, allowing you to achieve the desired grass length for your lawn.

When it comes to storage, the Stiga Battery-Powered Lawnmower COLLECTOR 140 AE offers convenience with its folding handle. This feature allows for compact storage, making it easy to stow away the lawnmower when not in use, even in tight spaces.

Powered by the Stiga ePower 20V intelligent battery (2 x 4Ah), this lawnmower provides a low-noise and cordless cutting experience. With a single charge, it can cover an area of up to 350m², ensuring sufficient runtime to complete your mowing tasks. The lawnmower also comes with a safety key, enhancing user safety during operation.

The Stiga Battery-Powered Lawnmower COLLECTOR 140 AE boasts a durable polypropylene housing that ensures longevity and resistance to wear and tear. It is equipped with a 550 W brushless motor, which not only contributes to a longer lifespan but also requires minimal maintenance. The finned cutting blade, designed to be vibration-resistant and with a thickness of 2 mm, guarantees precise and efficient grass cutting.

What users think:

The Stiga Battery-Powered Lawnmower COLLECTOR 140 AE has received positive feedback from users for its user-friendly features and suitability for small gardens. Owners appreciate the easy assembly process, as it allows them to quickly set up the lawnmower and start using it without any difficulty. It is particularly well-suited for small gardens, its 38 cm cutting width makes it efficient for manoeuvring in tight spaces.

However, users have reported that the Stiga Battery-Powered Lawnmower COLLECTOR 140 AE can be sensitive to the height and dampness of the grass and some owners have noted that the lawnmower may struggle. Another aspect that some users have mentioned is that the battery life could be improved. While the lawnmower's batteries offer decent runtime, some owners feel that they could last longer before requiring recharging.

Direct quotes from owners:

I bought this to replace a heavy petrol one this is everything I hoped for. Easily charged, light weight, manoeuvrable and easy to assemble and use. Highly recommend

Good. But battery charge lasts for a maximum of 30 or 40 minutes only on full charge.

This is a great little mower. Easy to set up and manoeuvre when in use. i've never had a cordless mower before but this is the way to go. Doesn't make it a chore anymore. The only blip is my lawn is bigger so I can only get half done before I have to recharge the batteries which takes a good hour. The run time is about 15-20 minutes. Apart from that, really pleased with it.

Price: £310
