Forest Master FM6DD Wood Chipper
It handles smaller branches under 50mm efficiently, chipping them quickly and effectively, which is ideal for small-scale gardening tasks. Moreover, its compact design and foldable hopper contribute to its appeal by saving space and facilitating easy storage when not in use.
However, one significant limitation is its struggle with older or drier wood, often leading to frequent jams during operation. Users also find the small gate on the hopper restrictive, necessitating meticulous feeding in of smaller twigs. There are concerns about the durability of the blades, with some users noting they may not be hard enough to handle thicker wood as advertised.
Maintenance tasks, such as adding oil or cleaning the machine after jams, are cited as cumbersome due to design and access issues.
What Owners Think
Great little chipper. Its smaller than expected but starts easy and chips fast. Only good for smaller branches, under 50mm. But ideal for small gardens. I would recommend it.
I agree with independent online reviews that the blades are not made of a hard enough metal. It certainly cannot shred wood 2" thick.
Really please with this robust little chipper. Well made engine/blade assembly, and very easy to put together. Cleared my garden today no problem at all.
