Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (from 20 reviews)

The Einhell Power X-Change Cordless Garden Shredder offers cordless convenience for versatile garden maintenance. Equipped with a robust chassis, wheels, and an integrated transport handle, it ensures easy mobility around the garden.

This shredder efficiently processes branches up to 25 mm in diameter and various garden waste such as foliage and shrub cuttings through its large funnel opening and pusher mechanism.

Included with the shredder is a 55-litre bag for convenient waste collection, along with a safety pusher for secure material feeding into the hopper.

As part of the Einhell Power X-Change system, it operates with 2 x 18V Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries (not included), compatible with a range of Einhell PXC Power Tools and Garden Machines. The system features ABS Battery Electronics and high-performance Li-Ion Cells for reliability and efficiency.

What users think:

The Einhell Power X-Change Cordless Garden Shredder offers convenient operation for smaller gardens without access to electricity. It arrived promptly, although the packaging and individual parts were not originally sealed. Assembly required some manual skill due to imprecise hole alignment in the frame, but once assembled, it effectively processed branches from spring pruning. The shredder effortlessly pulls in branches as described, and the battery life of the 5.2 Ah batteries met expectations.

However, the shredder quickly clogs when processing softer branches with leaves, wrapping around the cutter. Clearing the blockage is challenging due to the narrow opening at the bottom, necessitating laborious clearing from below or meticulous removal of compacted shredded material from above. This issue significantly detracts from the shredder's overall performance. Additionally, the stability on grassy surfaces is somewhat lacking, which further impacts its usability in garden settings.

Clogged very quickly with softer branches, it wraps around the cutter

We had been looking for a battery shredder for a long time. It is perfect for a smaller garden without electricity. The chipper was delivered quickly, but the packaging and individual parts were no longer originally sealed (point deduction). Since everything was completely available, it was time to assemble. The frame requires some manual skill as the holes are not exact. Branches were chopped from spring tree pruning. The branches are well pulled in. The battery time of the 5.2 batteries corresponds to the description.

The shredder clogs up very quickly when chopped green with leaves. It is very difficult to free the shredder because it gets narrower at the bottom. If it is clogged, you cannot unclog it from above; you compact the shredded material in the ejection. Clearing has to be done laboriously from below or you laboriously pick the shredded material out from above. This is a huge shortcoming and spoils the work with the otherwise good shredder. Therefore, two stars deduction. The stability in the grass in the garden is somewhat unstable. Translated
