Roses UK Unveils the Rose of the Year® 2025: You’re My Everything®

Roses UK proudly introduces the Rose of the Year® 2025, You’re My Everything® (Weksecunk). This stunning new variety promises to be a showstopper in any garden, captivating rose enthusiasts and casual gardeners alike with its unique and enchanting beauty.

The pink-edged, soft-cream pointed buds gradually unfurl to reveal a mesmerising yellow glow at their base, highlighting the golden stamens at their heart. As the petals fully open, they transform into a deeper, more vibrant pink, creating a striking contrast that draws the eye and enchants the senses. The flowers, which bloom either singly or in clusters, are a testament to nature’s artistry.

Beyond its visual appeal, You’re My Everything® boasts excellent disease resistance, ensuring it remains a robust and reliable addition to any garden. The foliage is equally captivating, with new growth emerging in a warm red hue before maturing into a glossy dark green. This resilient rose reaches a height and spread of 75-90 cm by 60 cm, making it an ideal choice for garden borders or container planting. Whether basking in the sun or weathering a storm, this variety stands out for its unwavering beauty and strength.

Bred by the esteemed Weeks Roses in the USA, You’re My Everything® is represented in the UK by Keith Jones of C & K Jones. This collaboration across the Atlantic highlights the global effort to cultivate and celebrate exceptional roses. The introduction of the Rose of the Year® 2025 by Roses UK is a testament to the dedication and expertise of rose breeders worldwide.

Gardeners and rose aficionados will be delighted to know that You’re My Everything® will be available for purchase this autumn. Rose nurseries and garden centres across the country will stock this award-winning variety, allowing enthusiasts to bring a touch of elegance and vibrancy to their gardens just in time for the new planting season.

The prestigious Rose of the Year® competition is managed by Roses UK on behalf of the British Association of Rose Breeders (BARB). This esteemed event invites UK rose breeders and the UK agents of international breeders to submit their most promising new varieties. Each entry undergoes a rigorous two-year trial, beginning six years before the commercial introduction of the winning rose.

During this trial period, judges assess various characteristics, including flower and plant form, colour, scent, abundance of blooms, health, and ease of maintenance. The competition is a celebration of innovation and excellence in rose breeding, ensuring that only the finest roses earn the coveted title of Rose of the Year®.
