Ryobi OBL1820S ONE+ Cordless Blower Review

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 (from 1911 reviews)

The Ryobi OBL1820S ONE+ Cordless Blower is a convenient and efficient tool for clearing jobs. It boasts a high speed nozzle that provides airflow of 245km/H, allowing users to quickly and effectively clear debris. The lightweight design adds to the convenience of the tool and ensures that it can be used for extended periods without causing fatigue. The GripZone over mould provides a comfortable and secure grip for the user, further enhancing the ease of use. The blower is sold as a 'bare' tool or with a battery and is compatible with all batteries and chargers across the 18V ONE+ system, providing flexibility to users who already own other tools in the ONE+ range.

What users think:

The Ryobi OBL1820S ONE+ Cordless Blower has received positive feedback from users regarding its construction. Users have mentioned that it feels well made, which contributes to its overall durability. Additionally, the blower is praised for its well-balanced design and lightweight nature, making it comfortable to use for extended periods without causing strain or fatigue. The convenience factor is also highlighted, indicating that the blower is easy to handle and operate.

On the other hand, some users have mentioned that the blower may not be as powerful as larger models available in the market. While it performs well for general clearing tasks, it may struggle with heavier debris or larger areas that require more forceful airflow. Additionally, users have reported that the blower is not as effective when it comes to damp or wet material, which may limit its usability in certain weather conditions or environments.

Another aspect that users have raised concerns about is the battery life. Some users have noted that the batteries do not last very long, requiring frequent recharging or having a limited runtime. This could potentially interrupt longer clearing sessions or require additional batteries to be on hand for uninterrupted use.

Direct quotes from owners:

Powerful, light and easy to use

With the battery attached this blower is pefectly balanced and lightweight enough for even an 83 year old, like me, to use for extended periods without feeling tired. But, and there is always a but isn't there, it is totally let down by battery technology. I bought one Ryobi 4.0Ah and three 5.0 Ah batteries from other manufacturers - Ryobi was twice the price but I must admit that their 4.0 Ah battery lasted the same as the other 5.0 Ah batteries.

Over all I am very happy with this blower and with my choice of battery I have found it does the job and lasts as long as I need and if you need longer running time there is always the option of a 5AH battery along with a rapid charger if you really feel you need it

Price: £65.95
