We're Working with Grazers

We're very pleased to announce that Garden.Help has a new sponsor, Grazers. The team at Grazers are long term friends of Garden.Help and we are looking forward to working with them over the next few months.

Grazers products aim to discourage herbivores from damaging your crops, helping plants to help themselves. The creatures move on to feed elsewhere, unharmed - that means they remain part of the food chain, essential for a healthy garden ecosystem.

Grazers Ltd is a family business owned by Jonathan and Sally Tebb Roger based near Penrith, Cumbria.

Grazers was founded in 1999 by James Over and Nina Tidswell, when the pair made a tremendous discovery, They were treating a farmer’s crop with trace elements. The field was on the edge of a wood with extensive rabbit damage. The farmer realised the crop damage was recovering rapidly, even though the rabbits were still there. After more research and trials, Grazers took off.

Jonathan, from a horticultural and agricultural background, worked with Jim and Nina from the beginning. When they decided to retire in 2006, Jonathan and his wife Sally bought the company.

The company now has four formulations for different herbivores:

G1: Effective foliar fortification against rabbits, pigeons, deer and geese.
G2: Works against grazing by slugs and snails.
G3: Formulated to give brassica plants effective foliar fortification against Cabbage White Butterflies laying their eggs.
G4: For use against Red Lily Beetle grazing, or laying their eggs, on lilies and Fritillaries.

Grazers has recently launched Green Matters, to give waste materials a new lease of life. The company strives to promote environmental aspects of production and supply, reducing its plastic and carbon footprint.
