New Persica Hybrid Rose Launched at RHS Hampton Court

Monday 1st July: Marshalls Garden have today announced they will be launching a brand new persica hybrid rose at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival, called See you in Rosé. The launch is in partnership with National Plant Collection holder Daniel Myhill, Plant Heritage and Kordes Roses and the rose will be exclusively available online from Marshalls Garden.

See you in Rosé has already received national recognition, picking up an award only last year at the Belfast Rose Trials in preparation for its launch. The rose was bred by world renowned Kordes Roses, who for over 130 years have produced varieties with exceptional disease resistance and are now one of the largest and most innovative breeders in the world.

It is the first persica hybrid release in the UK from Kordes, growing to about 70cm tall and 50cm wide. This beautifully healthy and robust pretty-in-pink rose has large open, semi-double flowers with a deep reddish pink eye, perfect for a range of pollinators. They are produced in clusters at the top of each stem with the reverse of the petals being almost pure white, creating a gorgeous multicoloured display that looks great in the garden, patio container and even in a vase! This floriferous new variety will continue to produce new flushes of flowers from June through to late Autumn. Marshalls Garden are donating £2 from every sale to Plant Heritage.

It is being launched at RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival by Daniel Myhill, one of the UK’s leading rosarians and the National Collection Holder of Rosa perisca hybrids.

Mark Sage, MD of Marshalls Garden said - “We are delighted to be involved in the launch of See you in Rosé, at the prestigious Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival. In our 75th year to be able to bring such a unique plant to our customers and through doing so, support the Plant Heritage is an honour. We are looking forward to officially launching the rose and to seeing them in customers gardens from the Autumn.”
