Despite the chilly weather, it seems the appetite for gardening is in full bloom! People all around the country are getting into the gardening spirit and searching for tips and tricks online. According to Google trends, there is a significant surge in interest for gardening, despite it still being January.
Even though Spring is still a couple of months away, it seems like now is the perfect time to start planning for the upcoming gardening season. Searches for phrases like "Is it too late to plant daffodil bulbs?" and "is it too late to plant tulip bulbs?" have skyrocketed compared to last January.
It looks like this is going to be a good year for gardening enthusiasts. There has already been a huge increase in searches for things like "can I prune roses in January", "when to cut back perennials" and "when is it too late to cut back hydrangeas", with a spike of over 5,000% from last year. It also looks like people are also looking to keep their festive plants flourishing, with searches for "how to take care of a poinsettia" being amongst the top questions. So, it's time to dust off those gardening gloves, put on a warm jumper, and get stuck in!
