Good news for gardeners as garden centres across the UK are reportedly overstocked for the time of year and working with suppliers to shift plants and products. With so many discounts available, now might be the perfect time to spruce up your garden.
Dobbies is leading the way with a generous 20% off all plants and a tempting 30% off garden furniture. If you’re looking to upgrade your outdoor seating or add some new greenery, Dobbies has you covered.
Homebase isn’t far behind, offering up to 25% off garden furniture and tools. Whether you need a new spade or a stylish patio set, Homebase has plenty of options to choose from.
Meanwhile, B&Q is offering a fantastic 30% off selected plant pots. Perfect for those looking to add a touch of colour to their patios or balconies.
British Garden Centres and other retailers are also getting in on the action with various furniture offers. You might just find the perfect deal for your garden retreat.
For those in search of shrubs, Hillier is having a half price shrubs weekend, making it a great time to add some perennial favourites to your garden.
Notcutts has a whopping £300 off some of their furniture sets, ideal for those looking to entertain guests in style this summer.
Waitrose is offering 20% off hydrangeas, those beautiful blooms that can add a burst of colour to any garden space.
And let’s not forget The Range, which is holding a 30% off gardening event. From tools to decorations, The Range has something for every gardener.
At Tillington centres such as Squire's, there are summer deals like 3 for 2 on certain plants and special offers like £2 for £20/£25 on select plants, plus 15% off BBQs. Perfect for those summer cookouts!
GCA CEO Peter Burks noted, "There's a fair bit of discounting going on at the moment. Whether there's more than normal for this time of year it's hard to say. Centres are still well-stocked, which is probably not the best thing for this time of year, and it's probably more on plants, particularly hardy nursery stock."
Andy Bunker, director of Alton Garden Centre, emphasised the need for retailers and growers to collaborate, stating, "Retailers and growers need to work together to move stock."
So, whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, these discounts provide a fantastic opportunity to enhance your garden. Happy gardening!
