My sweet pea plants are very 'leggy', what should I do?

Our Advice:

Start by pinching out the tops, leaving only 3 leaves on each plant. Keep the plants quite dry this will help to slow down the growth. On sunny days the plants can stand outside in a sheltered position and move the plants back under protection at night. This should also slow down the growth and will help to toughen up the plants.
