Ryobi RY18SCA-0 18V ONE+ Cordless Secateurs
Many users have praised its lightweight design and sturdy construction, making it a breeze to handle during long pruning sessions. Its cutting performance has also received accolades, with users reporting that it effortlessly slices through branches, reducing hand strain and rendering manual loppers nearly obsolete.

However, the tool's high price tag has left some users feeling hesitant, especially considering the fewer components compared to other Ryobi tools available at a lower cost. Additionally, for those not already invested in the Ryobi system, the need to purchase additional batteries and chargers adds to the overall expense.

Some users have noted minor ergonomic issues, such as a stiff operation trigger that can lead to forearm discomfort during extended use. Furthermore, the tool has a tendency to turn off unexpectedly, which can be frustrating for users in the midst of pruning tasks.

What Owners Think

Lightweight, easy to use and well made. The ideal pruning tool.

I got these on sale for a disabled family member and they are great, but the price is sickening. 93 (sale) for less components than her 45 Ryobi drill. plus, if you're not on the ryobi system of tools already, you need to then buy a battery and charger (another 60+ ish for a lower Ah batter/charger setup). Other than that, they do cut really well and save you a lot of hand strain.

Overall, this is a great tool. My main, minor complaint would be that the operation trigger is quite stiff, so forearms will aches after extended use. It also turns itself off a little too frequently. But other than that, the jaws are high quality and it cuts through branches with ease. It has made manual loppers almost redundant.
