Can zinnias grow in pots?

💡 Our Advice
Yes, zinnias can grow in pots as long as the container is large enough to accommodate their roots. A pot with a diameter of at least 12 inches is recommended. When growing zinnias in pots, it's important to use a well-draining potting mix and to water regularly. Container-grown zinnias will require more frequent watering than those grown in the ground, as pots tend to dry out more quickly. Be sure to place the pot in a sunny location and fertilise every two to three weeks with a balanced fertiliser.
