Also referred to as glasshouse mealy bugs, these insects live together in clusters. They appear as fluffy white wax on stems and leaves and suck sap from a wide range of plants.
These pests are found mainly on greenhouse plants and houseplants and are visible as a fluffy white waxy bump on plant stems and leaves. High populations will reduce plant vigour and stunt growth, often causing premature leaf fall. They excrete a sticky substance called “honeydew”, which encourages sooty mould.
Now you know what the problem is, and the damage it is doing, don't let your plant suffer.
